How I Work

I work with babies, children, teenagers, and young adults up to the age of 25, as well as with parents and carers. For infants and younger children (typically under five), therapy usually takes place alongside a parent or primary caregiver through parent-infant or parent-child psychotherapy.

My approach is child-centred and tailored to each young person's developmental needs. I take time to understand their unique experiences, relationships, and emotional world, creating a safe space where they can express themselves and feel understood.

Therapy aims to support emotional growth, deepen self-understanding, and help resolve the difficulties that have brought a child or young person to treatment. Depending on their age and stage of development, this may be through play, creative activities, conversation, or a combination of these. By paying close attention to play, behaviour, and verbal expression, I work to understand each child's emotional needs, build their resilience, and work toward positive change.
